Permanent Values in a Changing World

Student Residence

Ashwell House
is an intercollegiate hall of residence close to the City and London's university colleges. It provides a welcoming home to students from many countries who want to live, learn and contribute.

The residence combines an atmosphere of serious study with opportunities for students to develop other interests and discover the challenges of a global society.

Activities offered vary from the intellectually stimulating to fun and relaxation.

Ashwell also organises volunteering in the local community and abroad providing opportunities to give something back.

I love living at Ashwell..

Anna-Sofia remarks, 'What distinguishes Ashwell from other student halls is that it can truly become your home – a place of trust and friendship. Exciting birthday celebrations (with cake and all!), common meal times where we pour out our day's events to one another, and the many extra-curricular activities contribute to this wonderful environment.'

Kripa comments, 'I love living at Ashwell as it has provided me with a very multicultural environment and has opened a window to faraway lands and cultures. It has provided me with an environment to develop holistically.'

More than just a hall of residence...

Sam, a former director of Ashwell concludes, 'Ashwell is more than just a hall of residence. We are a university community concerned not only with the acquisition of knowledge or professional expertise, but with the attitudes that foster the desire to enquire, to learn and to serve, long after one's university days are over.'
