The Art Of Living Programme and Competition

For girls upto the age of 16 who love homemaking, cooking, sewing, decorating and housecrafts, the Art of Living Competition offers an opportunity to learn more, discover how to do it with artistry and grow in confidence.

In February the girls can take part in any or all of the following events:

Be My Guest!: participants prepare and serve a themed celebration event. The celebration must include something savoury, something sweet and drinks.

Make it a Welcoming World: groups prepare a demonstration display or workshop on the topic Home Made Happiness

Create a Fantastic Celebration Cake

Creative Workshops: these run during the competition weekend.

Preparation for the event takes some time so participants may prefer to focus their efforts on a particular area.

Easter Study Course

Tamezin Easter Study Course offers talks on study techniques and a quiet environment in which to study.  These are combined with the opportunity to receive tutoring in specific areas, make new friends and set aside time for sport and recreation.

The result is always the same: 'I have done a lot more studying than I would have done at home!'

YES! is a week-long summer holiday programme that challenges teenagers to think about what is really important in their lives.

Sessions on theology and ethics run alongside sports, dancing, film forum, crafts and other leisure pursuits.

A visit to a home for the elderly and the production of a lively song and dance concert is a regular feature. 'It was such a good idea to come and visit the nursing home. When we left, it felt so good to have spent time with people so much older who seemed to appreciate our visit.'

Helvi, one of the leaders concluded, 'What I found exhilarated and encouraged me that I could have easily flown home on the power of my own euhphoria..'

In 2017 Yes! will take place in Portugal. For more details email: or tel:020 73521545.  Alternatively have a look at
